Great Tripod!! Bought for the BlackMagic URSA and couldn't be happier. Also used for other cameras and it's supper smooth and easy to use and transport. Highly recommend it.
I'd been eyeing this tripod for over a year. I was having seriously trouble with my old Manfrotto 701HD head keeping up with the weight of my RED Scarlet, and knew I needed a suitable tripod to match.
Sony pxw-fs5 n sony 135mm lenses and shape pull focus rig 20lbs setup this 509 handles it no problem. pan n tilt is nice. 80inch height, is amazing in weddings getting crowd shots. or looking up n sining your song in music video.strong n sturdy, nice you get bag.
Bought this tripod upon recommendation from Vincent Laforet, and it's everything I need from a pair of sticks. The carbon fiber legs are strong but lightweight, easily supporting the 509HD head (which is much larger than my 504).
It goes up so high that I can shoot without having anything blocking my view.it's very fluid and stable when I used with my slider.it's not heavy.
This is one of the most heavy duty pieces of equipment I own, next to the Nikon D4s in which I bought it for. I own 3-4 Tripods and none would hold the size camera safely but rest assured this one will. It was much heavier than I thought it would be but It is smooth and I love it.
This is by far the best tripod system that I have ever used. The light weight but high weight capacity of this tripod system makes it the ideal workhorse for my video production work in and out of the studio. This system allows you to go as low as 13 inches from the ground and more than 6 feet high.
This is a great tripod and head. With a lightweight camera the legs open up and spread out like a spider to get you as low as a foot off the ground and still stable. Little bit of spring in this position, but stable. Also, the 509HD head is amazing.
Very solid for it's weight and price. Used for lightweight video cameras - Panasonic HPZ250 and Canon 5d III w/ 70-200 2.8 + cage w/ sound gear and monitor. I also pair it with a Kesslar Crane 3' cineslider - care has to be taken to avoid vibration but it was still usable; granted it's a lot to ask...
The head is so smooth and controllable. The sticks are so very long and lightweight. I can't believe this set is so affordable. Absolutely the best product these guys put out. The balance recorder is a sweet feature. Balance your rig once, record it, replace it perfectly every time.
