Manfrotto 5001B Nano Black Light Stand - 6.2 (1.9m)

These are one of the few light stands that will fit in a standard carry on size bag. The reverse folding mechanism is a little more difficult to open, and having five extendable sections is also a little tedious, but I find that the space and weight savings are worth it.

If you are looking for a very lightweight and compact tripod that still give you decent extension, then this is perfect. I have several of these and they are perfect for traveling or even just making less stuff to carry to jobs.

I use these as microphone stands for audio recording and need to have a complete kit there at the other end when I fly to sessions. So these are perfect for carry-on or simply as a small, lightweight option for any situation.

Like all Manfroto products, this stand is made well and is sturdy. I use it for an off camera flash along with the manfroto tilt head. The most attractive feature for me is the small size that it folds up to. It is easy to carry to a shoot, and is less clumsy than the taller light stands.

I got this to be part of a super compact set of video/interview gear. I managed to pack this and the MPMXPROA5US Aluminum XPRO Monopod+ into an international carry-on size roll aboard, along with a gorilla pod bendy tripod. So far, all has worked great.

Im buying it again. light and compact but solid to handle speed lights, with a small softbox of magmod accesories.

Its very portable and great for a small LED lights like the AL-F7.

I bought these to use as travel light stands to mount speedlights. These travel so much better than any other stand I have ever owned. They are solid and stable, light weight and fold up into an incredibly small size. I absolutely love these stands!
