I bought this small tripod base to screw into a light stand for use with my Rico Theta S 360 degree camera. With five 22 inch sections for the light stand, the whole thing extended puts the camera up to about 9.5 feet in the air.
Plenty of tabletop tripods, but most have a ball head. I use this on the bottom of the Zhiuyn Crane and didn't want to worry about a ball head letting the gimbal fall over.
I use this on my Sirui P-326 carbon fiber monopod with a Canon 60D and a 24-105L. Works great. No slipping. And this combination is very flexible and simple. Not important but the head looks so cool. Nice black finish. Another addition to the world's fine industrial art.
I use this with a DSLR remote camera set up. Perfect for getting a low angle when used with a ballhead. Also, your lens can't be too long or it will tip over the tripod. If you don't have a ballhead you can prop it up with with your lens cap.
Excellent light weight ball head I use on a monopod. 3/8-16 thread with 1/4-20 reducer bushing included.
Excellent
Worth every penny. Excellent build quality. Screws on and locks tight. STAYS where you put it.
Makes adjustment of off camera flash a cinch on top of the Manfrotto 5001b Nano Stand.
Good head. Light, solid. Love the repositionable knob. Nothing fancy. It just works... much like most Manfrotto stuff.
GoPro applications. Monitor mounts. Great flexibility. Tight construction and great quality.
