I have used this pistol grip head for years. It has worked without fail and it is quick and easy to adjust the angle of the camera. The grip clamps tightly to the ball and I have angled the camera and lens at some really extreme angles without the grip coming loose or slipping.
I had this for 3 years now. But I recently decided to sell it after using another ballhead (
Easy to use, low profile, customizable
very low weight/load ratio, big and heavy
This grip action bullhead has expected Manfrotto build quality. Parts work smoothly and with precision. I use with both Nikon D7100 and D750. Have not used with a lens larger than 70-200 mm but I think this ball head would handle a heavier camera/lens combo just fine.
Love this device! The level is spot on. The only thing I wish it did that my pan head did is rotate 360 at its base. With this unit you have to use the grip to release and rotate. Other than that I like it.
Have to say I love this for my bird watching scope! This is so fluid but then rock solid when you need it to be. This is just what I have been looking for.
This is a very accurate, easy to use tripod head.It isnt light, but thats good on a light tripod. Screws on easily, comes with a sturdy plate and control is brilliant.
Mainly for landscapes and buildings i.e. National Trust
Much quicker and easier to use than I thought, plus it matches my Manfrotto tripod. I love the control and precision, I should have bought one years ago.
As described by others, this accessory is great, if you have the money to spend.
I love this thing!
