I'm not a big fan of the dual 1/4"-3/8" spring loaded screw fitting since both of my cameras are 1/4" and the spring loaded feature is a pain in the neck to use. Outside of that, it's a monopod and it does what it's supposed to do.
I'm not a big fan of the spring loaded 1/4"-3/8" screw fitting. Since both of my cameras have the smaller fitting, it's a bit clumsy to screw on. Other than that, it's a monopod and it does what monopods do.
Seems to be a nice monopod especially for the price. Specifications say the weight is virtually the same as the carbon fiber unit. Paired with the Manfrotto 234 tilt head makes this combo a very versatile tool.
I've always relied on controlling my breathing and steadiness, but with this I can go all out with my images and photo taking abilities
I used to get tired easily by holding camera with zoom lens. With Strong Manfroto monopod and this head, I could keep taking photos tirelessly for hours together. Realizing now on why I missed using it in a last few years.
Since my Manfrotto tripod (Bogen back then) from the 90's is still working like new, it was a no brainer to purchase a Manfrotto monopod.
Used with Canon 7Dii/Sigma150-600SExcellent supportDoesn't work with Manfrotto 323 Rectangular Quick Release Plate-despite Manfrotto telling me it does! But works well with Manfrotto 234RC Monopod Tilt Head with Quick Release
Can't see why anyone would spend more for a monopod. It's very well built yet light to carry. Solid latches, highly recommend it.
Stores easily after taking down. Sturdy for my camera with a prime lens.
So far only used a couple of times. Easy to use. Very sturdy and helps me stay steady.
