I needed a tripod that could easily handle my Canon 5D MkIII with a 400mm lens and sometimes a teleconverter. The Manfrotto MT 190XPRO3 is now paired with a MH054MO-Q5 ball head and the combination is rock solid at all angles. Speaking of angles the legs have 4 angles of spread and all are stable.
I have used the tripod only one weekend so far, but I like it. Have not used the folding arm function, but tried it in the living room. I was concerned whether I could adjust the camera to a horizontal view using the arm where the camera will be vertical in its regular position.
Rock solid, light weight. easy to use tripod. I have used this with my Tamron 150-600 lens as well as macro lens at 90 degree angle for flower photography. I use this with Manfrotto 804RC2 head.
I found the tripod to be easy to set up, stable even in wind, plus, it has that little hook so you can hang your bag in case you need to add more weight. And I like the way it can cantilever out 90 degrees. What a nice feature.
Good hiking tripod
A fairly nice tripod that is a sturdy, can handle a decent load, very steady, nice clamp style releases to extend and contract the legs. uses standard 3/8" mount to attach a head, I use it with a Benro S6 Fluid head.
A good sturdy tripod that stands up to all demands. Easy to use with the twist locking system I live on the coast and it suits my kind of photography (seascapes)It is a little on the heavy side and would eat into your baggage allowance if traveling by plane.
Good And Sturdy, Great Features
A Little Heavy
This tripod was purchased days before a shoot. I bought it mostly for it's ability to easily shoot overhead shots without bending over the shot and coming up with wildly inconsistent shots. This tripod is sturdy and can be used in a variety of situations.
I've owned a couple of lesser tripods for years. Had myself convinced I could hand hold any photograph I needed to take. So, those tripods seldom got used. I finally got it through my head that if I wanted my wildlife photos to be anywhere nearly as good as my friends I needed to start using a...
