Very easy to overtighten and break the screw mounts. I have bought 6 of these stands and 4 are now out of action with spare parts making it hardly worth fixing. I now look for a simpler mechanism that can handle being tightened properly to secure lights.

I use these for wedding shoots or events (such as step&repeats). Although a bit limited in height for some things (such as certain angles for portraits in studio/outdoors), they're certainly ideal if you need to carry multiples (they stack!

Five stars reduced to two. Plastic bits break easily, make stand useless.I've been buying and using Manfrotto lightstands professionally since 1985. I still have those first 7' stands and use them regularly.

i have 5 of these stands. 2 for my seamless and 3 for my pcb einstiens with modifiers.. Setup and breaking down is a snap. I love the stacking feature when traveling. Saves time and trunk space.

We have had a few around and recently purchased more. We use these in our travel kit and the larger version around the studio. The interlocking design makes transporting them easy. They stand up to abuse. The locking knobs are not cheap like on the knock-offs.

I carry these in my 38" portable Strobist kit. They are very compact and easy to use. Leaves lots of room in my case for other equipment.

It's no Matthews C- stand but works the only issue is it has a wide footprint. You can bring the legs in but then the support base touches the ground.

Manfrottos are simply the best light stands in the market. Solid constructions and works fantastically.

Light and sturdy. Two words not normally used together to describe a travelling tripod. Fold flat design is the bomb. Buy one. You wont regret it.

Great lightweight light stand. I have 2 of them and I'm ready to get 2 more. I use it with Canon 580EX II flashes and Flashpoint 320A Studio Strobes. Very sturdy, fantastic design, stacking system works wonderful. Not the tallest but plenty of height for most uses. I was debating this and 1005BAC.
