I am very glad I purchased the DL1608. I utilize the DL1608 in two different bands. One is a classic rock cover band where we mic everything (needing all 16 channels) and the other band plays more easy listening music for wineries. Most of the venues we play do not require a sound man.

Recording Improvements
This is a great board that keeps getting better with each update. Mackie listens to what users have been saying and keeps updating the board to make it even better. For the money it's a great board that we are using at our church and it's been great.

If you used to analog boards it can be hard to get use to a digital board but so worth it.
This mixer does have its limitations. Only 16 channels, no inserts, blah blah blah. each channel has HPF, sweepable eq, comp, gate. 6 aux sends + LR (mains). Ability to record to the ipad, and the ability to undock the ipad and walk the room is incredible.
