I needed a small mixer for my Modular synthesiser and Moogs and ARP synths, was using a behringer mixer and it had a little noise so I went to the Mackie, it also has a little noise but not as bad as the Behringer. Unfortunatley you cant believe the marketing BS
The Mackie 802VLZ4 8-channel mixer is a delight to use and it is very accurate. This mixer replaces a budget mixer I had been using for years that started to malfunction. OK, the malfunction was solved by some treatment (of the old mixer) with Deox-IT, but I don't think the Mackie will ever need...
The Mackie 802VLZ4 is a tank. Built really well, and extremely well thought out for a such tiny format mixer. The routing options that this little piece has are much appreciated and the sound quality is awesome. Tons of headroom and clean mic pre's.
We used this to connect 4 mics for ritual services and use the Aux out to the stream to Zoom or Google Meet.
Love this little guy. Doesn't make a peep and has a great small form factor that makes it portable and easy to fit in to any setup.
The mixer is just the right size for the venues we do. It's what I expect from Mackie. It is a mini board but as usable without hum as the bigger boards.
Very compact, but has all we need for our venue. Takes the place of a much lager old school mixer.
Great mixer for the small studio or add on to a large one.

Small foot print, light weight, lots of options
I needed a small format high-quality mixer for my home studio to manage a combination of audio sources for broadcasting, podcasting, recording and voiceovers and took a chance on the Mackie 802 VLZ4 which I don't regret.
it has only been installed one day and not used for another week, so it seem fine at this point. It works as designed.
