I bought 2 in the 90's. One for me. One for my father who plays.I bought a new one because the Front of House mixers are much cleaner now.How ever the other still work fine. Just a little noise.

Durable, Excellent Craftsmanship, Great Sound
I really do like this compact mixer for what it does. It's small, portable and does everything a small professional mixer should do. The only negative is that I wish the mute buttons had lights so it would be easier to see if a channel was muted or not.
No noise, great control very satisfied with this one
i have used Mackie mixers in my studio and on location for music gigs and three they get the job done with superb quality. Mackie has the best pre-amps for my mics. I like the fact that the 1202 VLZ4 has two aux sends and more important to me two aux returns.
We needed a small rack mount mixer for a production. The 1202VLZ4 did the job. We needed it to fit into a console 19 inh wide and 12 inch tall opening and it did. The only thing negative to say is that during use, sliders would have been more convient than the knobs.
all the small mackie mixers are excellent and durable and perfectly priced i have used higher-end consoles with cleaner channels but for the most part soud quality is same
This machine is great! This mixer is a joy to work with, and is easy to use. I have used a mackie vlz3 before. Which to me had top notch audio output. The vlz4 maintains that quality. If not improves upon it. This thing feels like it is built to last. It is a very sturdy machine.
Mackie has topped itself again. Super quiet preamps. The best.
I purchased this mixer for my live electronic music rig. I needed a mixer with two aux sends and a small footprint. My live electronic rig has to fit entirely on a 2 X 4 table and I was having a hard time finding something with all the channels and features I needed that would fit.
My 5th Mackie mixer. I keep scaling down in size from larger to smaller models. This is my second VLZ 1202. The first one started to develop very scratchy gain pots after three years of weekly use and life in a road case. Finally died after being dropped.
