If you shoot nothing but fisheye and want full AE and AF control, then a dedicated fisheye lens is the way to go. But if you want to have the occasional fisheye fling this might be your cup of tea.
This circular fisheye lens from Lensbaby is available to fit Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Samsung and Micro Four Thirds cameras. It offers an extremely wide field of view of 185 degrees, with the barrel distortion effect you'd normally expect from a fisheye lens.
Those looking for a budget circular fisheye could do a lot worse than this lens. It offers excellent sharpness in the centre of the image circle for a decent price. The build quality and handling do leave some room for improvement, but this may be easy to look by, especially considering the image...

Gritty focus ring, Loose feeling aperture ring
No, it's not a Canon "L" series lens, nor does it weigh as cost as much as one. My 5 star rating is simply based on how well it does the job its intended for, at its price point. Note that though it will mount on a full frame Canon body, the image circle will only fill the frame for an APS-C size...
Good lens for the money got this as a play around lens makes good images hoping to use it moreon some upcoming projects
Is it the best ever fish eye? No. Is it the easiest to use? No. Are the pictures any good. They areentirely usable, depending on your purposes. One needs to understand the limitations, it iscompletely manual, the camera body does not even know it is on the camera.
Good bargain for a novelty lems. The build is substantial, but the images are a little soft which is not a huge problem on a circular image.
I was worried at first when I saw the image on my cameras view screen so small. viewfinder is easier to see and with a good contrasting peaking color I could see focus and depth of field well enough to get very good shots my first time using a fisheye. I am also new to using fully manual.
I wanted to use this lens for hemispherical video projection. It shows the full image circle for 1920 HD video, which is what I wanted it for. It's not as sharp as I was led to believe, but still pretty good.
I got the lens to stitch 2 images shot on an Olympus OMD EM5-2 after 180 degree rotation into a VR image, but the pictures I shot were not circular. Top and bottom cropped off. I contacted the manufacturer who told me that was because .it's not a full frame sensor.
