The Leica M is a large and robust rangefinder camera with a magnesium-alloy chassis with top and bottom covers cut from brass blocks. All elements are carefully sealed against dust and moisture and overall offers the handling, feel, and touch one has come to associate with Leica M cameras of the...
The APO-Telyt-M 135mm f/3.4 is the longest lens available for the Leica M system. It can be tricky to focus, but Live View makes it easier to use.

Expensive. Manual focus only. Limited close focus distance. Small frame lines with digital M cameras.
The 16MP Leica X2 features an APS-C format CMOS image sensor similar to professional cameras. The high-end sensor works hand-in-hand with the Leica Elmarit lens (24mm f/2.8 ASPH) in producing images with great quality. X2 features an enhanced autofocus system so it can adapt to different situations.

NO TECH..., Which IS the point..., But still...
Overall the Leica M 240 is an inspiring camera to use, from the design of the body to the feel of its controls. With its new sensor and processor it also performs extremely well, and produces images that match the body for quality. Its menu system isn't the slickest though.
Features Handling Performance Verdict Specification Introduced at Photokina, Cologne, 2012, the Leica M (Typ 240) comes with a new 24 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, and surprisingly for Leica, also introduced full HD video recording, and live view.

Leica’s traditional approach to camera design means that its M-series of rangefinders are simple, basic machines that strip photography back to its fundamental principles, and Leica’s fans love them for that.
The best camera Leica M and lenses thus far if your going for that authentic film photography era look and feel. One thing about Using a Leica camera in the street, It is a risk it. The cost is way to high if damaged, stolen or whatever goes wrong. Leica needs to come up with a solution on the cost.
It is an interesting camera! My first M camera is M6 which I bought back in 1988, and since then I have probably gone forward to use almost every Leica introduced, and gone backward to use all the vintage models. And this M60 is like a compression of all Leica M put together.
I grew up with a Leica camera. When I was 18 (1966) my dad bought me one in the discount stores where the World Trade Center is, or used to be. I used the camera all over the world, until the digital revolution. I would have switched to digital immediately, except the price was outrageous.
For thirty years I used Leica cameras for research and travel in West Africa. I loved them because they were unobtrusive, dependable, durable, easy-to-use, and produced excellent images.
I first began to use Leica rangefinder cameras in the late 1960s when I was a high school student traveling in North Africa and the Middle East. I first carried a Minolta which became jammed with sand in Algeria, and so most of my photos were overexposed.
It's just different. Unique Camera from another planet.
