The Leica D-Lux 7 is decent for travel photography. It's highly portable and lightweight, with physical control dials that make it easy for manual shooters to adjust settings on the go. Image quality is also good for a compact camera. On top of that, it has a pretty good battery life.

Portable., Dedicated exposure dials., Good battery life for a compact camera.

Autofocus isn't very reliable., Poor ergonomics., Not weather-sealed.
Yes, £995 is a lot of money to spend on a pocket sized travel zoom – but, on the other hand, compared to what else is on offer from Leica, it’s not such a lot to spend in order to get that coveted red manufacturer’s badge in return.
Hi everyone, I have owned the leica d lux 7 for about a month now. I must say that i was not disappointed. It has really good autofocus and great sharp image quality. It's really compact and light weight. I reallt enjoyed using it.
I just got this leica -D Lux 7 after research from th internet. But very sadly, the IQ is not meet my expectation, it is very noisy for the high ISO (3200 up), I never have 4/3" sensor, this is my first time, now I am looking for Ricoh GR3, it is very compact and the sensor is APS-C, the leica is...
As an owner of both the Type-109 and Leica Q, I must say that I am quite impressed by the D-Lux 7. Picture quality is remarkable and seems to benefit from the higher pixels over the Type-109, but I am not moving too quickly to sell my Type-109 as I have totally enjoyed it as well.
manages to combine small size, sharp pictures and good handling in one. I prefer to the Panasonic version due to smooth front design and easier to use menu still find the amount the front lens extends when on annoying, but I guess that's the design
Sensor full of powder. Like the lumix lx i had before!
Evaluated and purchased this at the Leica store in Boston Mass. Very light, unobtrusive and extremely fast- both focus and lens speed (f/1.7-f2.8). For a pocket camera that can be carried, without being aware that you are carrying an extremely capable camera, with the knowledge that you have a great...
A really good camera. It's a bit D-Lux 6 with lots of other goodies. WEX were really helpful as I adjusted to the difficulty of going from the 6 to the 7.
I am an 85 year old professional photographer and have used Leica cameras for quite awhile. I was looking for a lighter weight camera that would still serve my purposes and bought the Leica D-lux7. By and large it has proven satisfactory but with these caveats.
