Not only is this $10,000 gem the priciest lens we've ever tested, it's the fastest one made-and the first manualfocus we've had on our bench in years. A full-framer, it scales up to 67mm on the Leica M8 and M8.2.

First off, FIVE stars for uniqueness, fast aperture, design, and Leica quality. There is nothing quite like it in production though there was a lens at one time that beat it for half the price. I have owned one of these since it was launched. I beat it up, used it day in and out in pro situations.

I got this lens first, and for this lens, I bought the M9 which is my first M camera. I have 135mm Nikon D800E. But this is different one. It is amazing lens and have special photo look, philosophy feeling......I can't clearly say what it is like until you can own this by youself.
