At first, I was hesitant to buy this product because of the bad reviews that I saw here but, I have to be honest, it makes me happy to give it a chance. The external hard drive works well, and I haven’t had any problems with it. It’s fast enough to save important files, and the quality feels good.
Great external for its price. A piece of advice: if you are going to use it for storage and backup, use half for Mac and half hybrid (mac/pc) so ou can leave the mac partition for TimeMachine and the other half for everithing else.
So I wanted to have an external drive that could last me years and be big enough to push over any video that hogs up a lot of space on my 128GB laptop. Its been great. That's about all I can tell you. I have had it now for about 9 months and wanted to wait a bit to give a review. Best of luck.
I only have a regular USB connection on my PCs, but it was still fast enough for transferring pictures. It sure seems well built. I have seen professional sports photographers recommend this and feel it was a great solution to back and compile photos from multiple devices.
I love this drive. Solid build. Not the fastest read write speeds, but I have no complaints about it either. The bumper protects the drive very well even if it drops flat on the ground as the edges are very deep. It dosent feel bulky which was my concern when buying.
Just plug-in and use, does the job in maintaining a regular back up for (using Time Machine) on ageing iMAC. I do not have to worry about remembering to back up manually. Does the job without hassle.
Easy to set up and great price. I use it to back up my iMac. Just plug it in and leave it.
I'm a photographer who uses this device all day long. The hard drive will never connect unless you have the magic touch and when it does, if you look at it wrong, it disconnects. So many projects I've been working on mid sync and it disconnects. Under pressure, don't count on this hard drive...
Kinda pricey but I’m good with the overall build quality.
It comes with instructions to help any user set everything up
