The LG 40WP95C-W is an impressive choice for media creators. The large, high-resolution screen makes it easier to see more of your workflow at once. It has impressive colors, with excellent accuracy out of the box, a fantastic SDR color gamut, and incredible coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Low contrast, so blacks look gray in a dark room.
I upgraded from LG 27UD58 to this monitor a month ago.As a IT worker, I don't use many fancy features of this monitor. The pixel density, ultrawide format, ergonomic stand, and rich connectivity options with TB4 and 96W PD really make my working life easier. The main problem is with my eyes.

Style/Design, ease of use, Quality
Bought this to replace the 34WK95-U. This new model uses the same OSD as the 34". It has basically the same i/o but uses Thunderbolt 4 instead of 3 now. The curve is very acceptable. The screen size is just about right. The 34" always felt kind of short but this one gives great coverage.
Needs:more Hz for gamers (72 is on low side now)Gsync versionUnnecessary expense:speakers (people have 5.1, 2 with more watts, or headphones)
I was delighted when LG announced this 5K2K model as it provided the desktop real estate I wanted for my work (I'm not a big gamer). When it arrived, I struggled to get signal from the Thunderbolt 4/USB C ports and resorted to using HDMI with converter (which only supported 30 Hz refresh -- too low...

Style/Design, Features/Settings
Unfortunately, it didn't last 2 months. If you use it with a Macbook, be aware the included Thunderbolt cable is quite flaky. Every time you turn it on, it keeps switching back to HDMI even with auto switch on. Today, it started showing a vertical blue line plus a couple of dead pixels.
I use the monitor with a 2021 MacBook Pro. The monitor is a great fit providing Thunderbolt 4, 96W power and a native resolution that complements the MacBook Pro display.
I'm using the LG 40WP95C-W as a single display with a 16" MacBook Pro, and I am really pleased with the picture quality, size and curve for both work and entertainment. I was using 25" and 24" flat displays before this, so the curve took a couple of days to get used to.
Monitor with 300n brightness. that all. very low quality of the screen.
