Well, here's my review of this LG 43". Let me set the stage so you can understand the context of where I'm coming from for this review.I've been running 4x Samsung SyncMaster 930B's since 2005 (19" 5:4); yes, that's 12 years on the same monitors.
What can I say other than this thing is amazing big and easy on the eyes. The feature I really love is that I can 4 1080p screen show all at once. The picture quality is spot on for the price. I am sure ther higher ends will have high features. Though for my use and light gaming its amazing.
Style/Design, Features/Settings, Quality
Originally bought 2 months back (Nov 2017) and everything about the monitor was great except that multiple times per day the screen would go completely black for a couple seconds then come back on.
The main reason to buy this instead of an 4k TV is the matte finish. I tried to go cheap and bought a 43" curved samsung 4K TV (which was maybe one or two hundred less than this monitor). I used it for almost a year.
I have had this monitor about a month and a half now, but am noticing a flicker from the panel. Now, this occurs in the middle of movies, games, etc, but its not constant or consistent. The flicker randomly occurs, and the screen will go black for about 3-5 seconds, then shows the work-space again.
Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings
Everything is good until I connect my xbox one x to it, the xbox said this TV cannot support HDR10 game and movie, God this monitor is much advanced than typical 4k HDR TV, expect HDR tech! Can you support this tech in future?
Been wanting this ever since I saw the European release some time ago. It’s finally mine. Yay!The only thing that can top this now is my feature suggestion: integrated mouse/keyboard control, to control multiple OS’s connected.
I purchased this a few days ago and wanted to use the monitor to display and charge my MacBook Pro 15" through the USB-C port. According to the website which states: "USB Type-C Offering a new generation of convenience, USB Type-C ports allow 4K video display, data transfer and laptop/mobile device...
Bought it a few weeks ago. Took me less than 10 min to install and Windows 10 promptly recognized it and I could use it immediately. So far all is well. I'd definitely recommend it.
ease of use, Performance
I bought this to give me larger images and text as well as more display space. I use it with two computers - personal Mac with Thunderbolt 3 and church owned Surface Book (Windows 10) through a Surface dock (mini dispaly to display port).
