LG 43UD79 Review – LG UHD 4K 43-INCH MONITOR 43UD79 – USING A MONITOR THE SIZE OF A TV ISN’T AS AWESOME AS IT S...
Well, here's my review of this LG 43". Let me set the stage so you can understand the context of where I'm coming from for this review.I've been running 4x Samsung SyncMaster 930B's since 2005 (19" 5:4); yes, that's 12 years on the same monitors.
After installing this monitor, I was questioning whether I made the right choice buying this thing, because it's size made it look just ridiculous on my desk.Nevertheless, the first thing I did post installation, was that I downloaded Planet Earth 2 in 4K.
Monitor works pretty well, split screen software is quite buggy. The main reason for my review is that its construction is very weak and the screen costs more than the value of the TV to repair.
Have looked for one of these for a while. I work from home and the ability to see multiple systems without multiple monitors is great. Gaming on the 43" is fantastic.
I love the size and usability with this monitor, but there is one major flaw that I've discovered. If you are in 4 screen PIP Mode and full screen any of the inputs, the upper left input becomes the same input as the one that was fullscreened.
Excellent screen resolution and right size for making photo and video edits. Also great for making sure all menus on software programs show up
For a number of years now, I have had 2 monitors on my desk. I was looking for a better solution for a while, in comes the LG43UD79. For my needs, it's a great solution: desk space, 4K, PIP, 4 devices in to one space. I can also have multiple applications open at a decent size.
screen blacks out all the time for 2-3sec randomly
This thing is not only HUGE but it is very clear and very vivid
I've had all sizes of monitors, from a cellphone to this 43", and this is the most awesome display I've ever had the pleasure of looking at!! The native resoltion is 3840 X 2160 and I have set the viewing at 150% to get the icons recognizeable and to be able to read the type under them!
