This was absolutely worth the price, the TV looks amazing haning on my wall, and the picture quality is outstanding.
The picture is so clear and crisp. Great for watching sports.

Great features and amazing sound and picture
Do not buy this tv. I got tricked into thinking a "super ultra high def" would have a great picture...nope. Native 1080 content from cable provider that looks AMAZING and clear and crisp on my samsung mu6300 4k uhd smart tv well on the same channel on this lg sk8000 tv looks barely better then 480p...
We received this TV 3 days ago. The purchase of the LG 55SK8000 was made with the knowledge that local dimming was very poor because it was implemented in 5 sections vertically across the screen. The preferred industry method is what they refer to as array local dimming.
Picture quality is very good. It looks elegant too!!
I like the set up of this tv. nice colors and like to thin design.
good picture quality sound not to good price ok but had one day price had dropped by 100 pounds could have bought a sound bar with the 100 pounds I paid extra for the tv
