LG 30 Inch Electric Smoothtop

It has several burner areas but would rather have had a fifth burner instead of just a warming zone. Also the main on/off area is very sensitive to touch and has gone on w/o my realizing.

  Quality, Style/Design

Easy installation, clean looking. Very easy to turn off but difficult to turn on. Maybe it’s a safety way as a childproof protection. So far I am totally satisfied. Corner edge very fragile and should have a type of metal ring to prevent potential fissuration.

Bought this as a replacement stovetop a few weeks ago. Its ok but I find the controls to be a two step process which seems unnecessary. You have to press the individual control to on and then go back to the central control to select the temp 1-9. You have to do this every time you adjust the burner.

It looks very nice, unfortunately it is wider than the GE Profile we took out. We had to cut the Granite counter 1/2 inch. We just installed it last week, so far so good. I did not get the users instructions since it was a floor model. If you could sent me a printable copy, I would be grateful.

During a kitchen remodel we selected this LG model after researching all the different brands, models, and features. We hit a home run with this new LG. We love the touch control (no knobs) feature. It gives our new granite counter top a very rich and fashionable look.

Installs easily. It works fine- my only "complaints" are that sometimes it doesn't see wet fingers on the controls, and setting pots/pans/lids down on the control area can turn on the child lock. Clean up is pretty easy since the surface is just a big flat piece of glass.

I bought this a month ago and really enjoy cooking on it. The features where you turn off/on the cooktop are just right and easy to use. Top cleans up very easily. The child proof lock works well. So glad I bought this!

  Performance

I haven’t had this for long so can’t comment on longevity, but so far it’s perfect! Smooth glass without any perimeter trim makes it easy to clean. The background speckles on the glass are not obtrusive, and in fact might be better for hiding day to day less than perfect cleanings...

So disappointed. Touchpad stopped working after22 months. Cant get high heat or turn certain burners off individually- need to shut the entire cook top off. Repair is SLOW I personally think this is a fire hazard. Still waiting for the repair guy to show up with the part

This is the third cooktop I have installed in my home, and it is truly the best one I have ever used. It is the third brand of cooktop I have ever used also. This one must have been designed by a woman . . . or someone who knows how it should be designed for best use.
