The LG HU80KA will work out as a great first (or maybe even 2 nd ) home entertainment/home theater projector, for a whole lot of people. On the other hand, many of those who are serious enthusiasts, demanding the best overall picture for the money, will probably be looking at some alternatives (more...
Laser engine 20,000, Maintains color, brightness far longer than lamps, 4K UHD – supports HDR and BT.2020/P3, Very smart – apps, etc., Video Player, Music Player, Photo Player, Web Browser, File Viewer, TV Scheduler, Notifications and more, Excellent sound system for a projector, Pretty good with...
Could definitely be brighter (with good color), Black level performance, Not a good gaming projector: 71ms is considered too slow for fast games, Wobbly fan motor noise (not very loud), Slight unevenness of illumination, No backlight on the remote control, No lens shift, Using the mirror costs some...
For all their benefits, one of the biggest hurdles of running a projector is simply getting it setup. Depending on the amount of horizontal and vertical adjustment available to the device, you may need a near-perfect installation to get the best performance out of a mounted projector.
The LG CineBeam HU80KA is LG’s first foray into the world of 4K, and is, perhaps, the most innovative projector to hit the market in 2018! The projector is perfect for beginners, as its compact nature and versatile design make setup a breeze, whether you’re projecting on a screen mounted to the...
ive had a few Epsons and BenQ Projectors and I must say, this LG. is the easiest to use and also has the most features. I just hook my Dish box to it and I can watch 100's of channels, I also have the ability to watch "over the air" channels. LG makes it so easy to hook additional devices to it .
Style/Design, ease of use
I was replacing an older (ceiling mounted) projector, and wanted to move to a 4k unit. I knew that the new unit would not be permanently mounted (portable), in comparing all the units, the LG checked all the boxes: 4k; 2500 lumens (relatively bright); short-throw.
This Laser projector TV works well so far. At our place, we can't use it till after sunset as the room is too bright for this tv. WebOS is nice. Sound on this tv is surprisingly good. Overall, it seems to be a good tv.
The idea behind it is awesome. The apps didn't work the fan was nauseating I had to used headphones. I can only play 4K if I plugged it into my soundbar. For it being portable you had to have a few devices just a play 4K. If it worked as they said it did I would have kept it.
We decided to upgrade our projector with the CineBeam projector. Our family has been hosting outdoor movie nights at home and the new projector did not disappoint. We were initially afraid that the size of the projector might cause an issue projecting on the 50, 100 or 200 inch screens; however, the...

Love the portability of this unit. Picture quality is very good, but haven't given the 4k source a try as of yet. Brightness is good but only after dusk as we use this outdoors exclusively. Built in Bluetooth or Wi Fi would make the an even grater product.
I bought this Projector a few months back. After reading many reviews on this and other products, I opted for this. The Projector is easy to use and very portable. Find a flat surface, power up the Projector and you’re good to start the party. The picture is very crisp.
This Laser Projector is of high quality and has a crisp picture quality.
I was hesitant about the price and with all the choices of lamp modes ,display modes, display resolution vs. Native resolution... Although this projector is expensive at least to me, I decided to buy it because and forgive my 12-year oldboy for a moment, it has lasers!
