The G1 is one of LG’s best OLEDs yet, from its minimalist design, fabulous picture quality and extensive features (gaming, in particular), the G1 OLED that oozes quality. Its preoccupation with wall-mounting means it isn’t for everyone, but this is another high-quality TV from LG.
Sensational picture quality, Attractive design, Excellent upscaling abilities, Dolby Vision + Atmos support, Superb for gaming, Simpler menu design, If you’re in need of fantastic picture quality The LG G1’s images – from any source – are fantastic.
Okay sound, Motion processing isn’t as good as some rivals, Made primarily to be wall-mounted, If you’re not interested in wall-mounting The LG G1 ships with no stands. So, if you’re buying this TV, you’re purchasing it for the intent to plant it on a wall.
Had this TV for 2 years and 1 month, all HDMI ports stopped working. Contacted LG support and did all troubleshooting, told motherboard was most likely issue when troubleshooting didn't work.
Terrible sound, requires sound bar, 2 years of use and all HDMI ports stopped working.
The tv is well made and has a great picture. The webOS and mobile app is endlessly maddening. No reboot function, seriously you have to force a reboot by changing an obscure setting that triggers rebooting. Stupid. Wifi, casting, and bluetooth are constant problems.
I love that there is no stand . Why pay for something that is not in use. LG OLED beats hand down “Led “ with whatever letter preceding other than “O”. A bit heavy so need to be precise when hanging it. Wi-Fi seem to be not bottlenecking and hard wire is not required.
Overall, very disappointed with the G1 after 10 months of use, highly recommend sticking with the C1 if you're going to purchase an LG OLED model. The G1 frame has flex to it and the one I received, unfortunately, came warped and was unreturnable since 30 days had passed before it was installed and...
I am a fan of OLED picture. Best picture and very bright.
Nice 4K picture and decent 60 watt audio. Menu function could be made easier to use on remote
Picture and Sound Quality
Remote functions for menus options not wasy to access
Very nice TV. Image is awesome!! Installation needs to have 2 adult men. I installed it with husband and it was very difficult because the TV is incredibly heavy. We got it done, but I don't recommend it. Looks great though!
Phenomenal picture quality as easy to use menu options
Picture quality, menu options, easy to use remote
Bad operating system that is very show and crashes, picture quality is not very sharp and in some cases too dark to watch and the onboard sound system is horrendous.
WEB OS is now horrible. HDR IN SOME CASES IS TOO DARK TO WATCH. The picture is not as sharp as other brands and the onboard sound is horrendous.
