This is an intriguing projector. At first glance, it seems limited by its simple lens and its 1080P DLP imaging engine. However, hands-on usage revealed that this projector is a compact powerhouse capable of putting a punchy, appealing and quite accurate image on screen.
The HU70LA is a 4K DLP projector that retails for $1,799. It utilizes a single DLP (0.47” DMD) chip to reproduce 4K UHD resolution (3,840 x 2,160). The HU70LA’s 4ch LED light engine is rated to deliver at 1,500 lumens for up to 30,000 hours.
Smarter than your average projector
Up close and personal
Compact and solidly entertaining, and ideally suited for bright-room viewing. Just don't expect HDR thrills.
Provided you're not susceptible to seeing the LG HU85LS's rainbow-like colour noise, it's a uniquely smart, user-friendly and effective addition to the growing "living room projector" market

Bright, colourful HDR pictures, Excellent, TV-like user system; includes streaming app support, Very good sound for a projector

Black levels in dark rooms are only decent, Some rainbow-like noise, Not as cheap as non-laser models
The LG HU70LA 4K CineBeam Projector - called the HU70LS in the UK - offers a solid image quality and 4K resolution at a relatively affordable price. Ultimately, while it's the not the best 4K projector on the market due to some sound issues, we think it’s one of the better home projectors in its...

Speakers aren’t great, Some fan noise
Let me begin by saying this projector is the best projector I have ever owned. When I first recieved this unit I tried it on the bare wall and it looked pretty good. Then I purchased a 120" 4k screen and big difference. I was blown away by the picture quality. The smart features worked flawlessly.
This is my 3rd LG LED projector, and it is hands down a big Improvement, over my other two. It's getting very close to my lcd/oled tv's. So happy I made the move and purchased the HU 70. Wish I could post pictures of the results of how clear the picture is. It's breath taking.
Amazing projector for the price important to pair this projector with a good quality Screen to achieve the full benefit.
This has been by far, the greatest piece of entertainment equipment I’ve purchased, it does everything my LG tv does but bigger and better. Unfortunately, I ran through a lil’ problem, I have to send it out to the manufacturer to fix and I’m still waiting to get it back..

Was hoping for a bit brigher picture, but this is probable the best you get for that price. Will be testing more after i get it set up properly.
Setup was quick enough. At first glance, with some ambient light, I was extremely impressed.I have been using it mainly for movies, and the color is truly excellent. The color is what makes this LED projector shine. This LG projector delivers both 4K and HDR.
