This is an excellent wide-screen monitor with few drawbacks in terms of features and performance, but there's no getting around the fact that it's expensive at $1,599.99. For a similar price, you can get the even larger 48.8-inch Philips 499P9H , for example, although its VA panel can't match the LG...

The LG 38WN95C-W is a great overall monitor. It's very good for office use or watching content, because it gets bright enough to combat glare, has wide viewing angles, and displays a wide color gamut.

  • +

Wide viewing angles., Gets very bright., Remarkable response time., High resolution.

Low contrast ratio., Terrible local dimming feature.

That 38in diagonal is large, and the 21:9 aspect ratio means that this display dominates a desk. The 3840 x 1600 resolution provides lots of on-screen real estate, which is handy if you work in media applications with horizontal timelines, or with multiple windows simultaneously.

  • +

Impressive widescreen design, Good features for work and gaming, Solid mainstream image quality

  • -

Contrast is a little low, Underwhelming HDR options, Relatively expensive

Had the monitor for over two months now and all I can say is that it's very liberating not having to go back and forth between two monitors. I use all day for work with MS Office apps and then Photoshop and Lightroom for personal stuff. Very impressed with the color quality and consistency.

I was not going to leave a review, but I was astonished to see another review for this monitor that had a green bad subpixel as well. Sounds like it is in the same spot. Other than the pixel, mine does not seem to have of the other issues that people have mentioned were present in the first batch.

This monitor is everything I needed. Looked online and saw some videos about how wobbly it is, but that apparently only happens on wobbly tables, because I havent had much of a problem with that. The picture quality is great. Also, the speakers are surprisingly great.

Having to work with both a Windows and MacOS computers has been never been easier since I began using this monitor. Not only will it support dual computer input but can use the same wireless keyboard and track of with both computers.

Coming from a 27 1080p 60hz monitor to this feels like I just jumped 10-15 years into the future. This monitor is superb and well worth the money. I can fit four full-sized files opened in Android Studio.

I upgraded to this monitor from the LG 38UC99-W 38" Curved Widescreen Computer Monitor. The 38UC99-W refresh rate topped out at 75hz. The 38WN95C-W can do 144hz and the gaming difference is definitely better. No more image tearing and the picture seems more detailed. I would recommend.

Overall I enjoy this monitor and has helped with eye strain and be able to handle multiple windows at one time clearly, increasing productivity. On the Mac if you have an intel display chip with small memory, I had problems not mirroring.

YES, MacBook Air M1 can run at full resolution 3840 x 1600 at 144Hz with this monitor. This incredible monitor is FANTASTIC in every way. Running at 144Hz is just insane for me as I've never seen it this smooth. The color is super rich and vibrant.

First, I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger on this one. It has USB-C (thunderbolt 3), 4K resolution, a good height adjustable stand and is wide without being unwieldy. I have been using this monitor for a few months now and I really like it.

I'm in the real estate industry and I need numerous windows opened on my screen for my business. This does the job well and I'm able to accomplish a lot more. Once you get the settings right, the screen is bright and full of screen "real estate".
