The 27-inch LG 27UD88-W is a sharp-looking 4K monitor that delivers a highly detailed picture, wonderful gaming performance, and plenty of features, including a USB-C port.

Sharp UHD image detail. Excellent gaming performance. AMD FreeSync enabled. USB-C port. Highly adjustable stand.

Slightly skewed greens. Short 1-year warranty.
It’s incredible how quickly the 4K monitor market went from non-existent to strictly competitive. Only a few other categories of PC peripherals – like mechanical keyboards – force companies into a more ruthless race to the top. There are many options, of excellent quality, at affordable prices.

Color accuracy is mediocre, More expensive than similar alternatives, Short warranty
There's no denying that the 27UD88-W is a beautiful monitor that displays gorgeous games in full 4K resolution. There's also no denying that it's considerably more expensive than something like the Acer B286HK : another 4K gaming monitor that looks just as good, features better PBP options, and...

Pricey, Not enough worthwhile presets, Lackluster PBP options
"Throw in a very slim bezel and sleek silver and white styling, and you have a very attractive 4K monitor for work and play."
Year by year, the world is migrating from 1080p. 1440p is now become the sweet spot even for mid-range graphics cards. Even consoles are making a break for the 4K horizon, courtesy of the PS4 Pro and Microsoft's Project Scorpio.
Usually I never comment on items I buy but I wanted to share my story of finding a monitor. I have owned the version 68 of this exact monitor and to my surprise it is different in more ways then just the USBC AND USB 3 in the back.1. The actual screen and bezel are different from the 68 version.
I purchased 2 of these monitors, after having purchased (and returned) the Apple approved 5K (Model: 27MD5KA-B.AUSA). These are fine and are basically 1/2 the price of the 5K version.

Features/Settings
I love this display -- it's perfect for a USB-C Apple setup -- and charges my Apple MacBook Pro while using it. Nice flexibility and sharp picture. It's as nice as the one sold by Apple.
I was looking for a monitor to go with my 2017 15" MacBook Pro with touch bar. I didn't think it would be that big a deal until I started doing research and realized there weren't that many options because of the USB-C drama.
Pro's:It is extremely lightweight and attractive. The display, when viewed in isolation, is excellent.Cons:I use this as a second monitor next to a 2017 iMac and.... it ain't the same. By comparison, the LG cannot achieve anything close to the brightness of the imac.
