I would like to thank Alpha Digital Services Ltd, the UK distributors of Kowa Binoculars for sending this binocular to me to review, but I would also like to point out that all the reviews on this site, including this one are my opinion and are not influenced in any way by manufacturers,...
I will be using these binoculars on a whale watching cruise. For the price, these binoculars are amazing.Sharp, clear, well built and all for a great price. My only criticism is that the eye and lens caps fall of easily. Small issues.
Great entry level binocular I purchased the Kowa YF 8x30 Binocular as a gift for a 10-year-old birder. Of course, I had to try them out myself. What a pleasant surprise!
Needed a lightweight, economical, well-made binocular for travel; these accommodate both my glasses and narrow IPD.
These binoculars are crystal clear, the visible distance is great and the size is small enough to be compact but not too small as to be lesser quality. They make everything brighter, especially helpful in the dusk hours! I can read numbers on the neighbors mailbox from approximately 100 yards away.
I purchased this binocular to use mainly during my hikes but also to just have a relatively good quality product to play around with. The binoculars seem well built and sturdy. I haven't dropped them (yet) but I think that they would fare well if dropped from a height of a few feet.
I bought two pairs for my 8 & 10 year-old kids (for Christmas, but I gave them a quick try out before wrapping them). My choice was guided by other very positive reviews on the web and I have to agree with them: they are great little binoculars, considering the price.
