Kodak's Pixpro AZ401 camera gives you a lot of zoom power for not a lot of money, but image quality and performance are disappointing.

Recently purchased this camera still getting use to all of it's features. The pictures are absolutely amazing. Took a photo of someones barn from the edge of a crossroads it was a far distance from where I was standing zoomed in with the 40 x and it looks like i was standing 40 feet from it.
I like everything except it does eat batteries. I use it on a tripod and like to leave it on to make it quicker to capture a bird etc. I'll have to learn to turn it off, then back on when an opportunity arises.
It seems to work just fine.....I haven't had it long... I DO like the design of the battery door better than the Kodak Pixpro FZ43 that I have. In the past, I have had three different brand cameras with the kind of battery door design where the little plastic nib that holds the door closed broke...
Love this camera. Bought it for a vacation last minute and it did not fail me once! Other reviews said batteries popped out or didn’t last long, but I didn’t have any of these problems.
The main issue with this camera is that it only takes alkaline or NiMH batteries. With new Duracell Alkalines, you can only get about 10 pictures with 4 new AA batteries with the flash turned off. You can get about 3 pictures with flash before you have to wait for batteries to build back up.
Love this camera! A tripod would be helpful for pics using the 40x zoom. It does go through batteries quickly~I recommend lithium batteries, which last Much longer.
Camera is very nice looking, a bit heavy but not too bad. Fairly easy to use but I did have to download the manual since the simplified start up instructions were limited. Photos are good quality, sharp and crisp.Downside: lens cap is very loose and falls off a lot.
This is a good first camera. The one complaint I have at the moment is how quickly it runs through batteries. I need to use it more to write a better review since it has a lot of features. If you buy it, definitely invest in rechargeable batteries!
Just received this camera - appears to be all that I expected, HOWEVER DO NOT BUY THE MICRO SD CARD THAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE ONLINE AD. The manual for this camera clearly states that Micro SD cards (even with an adapter) are NOT compatible with the camera
I bought the camera to take lots of photos of the glass panels on a high rise building from the inside the camera has a issue with focusing even with using the flash. I find I have to take multiple photos to get a nice clear photo.
