Paired this with a vintage receiver for bass extension, hedged between the larger subs but figured I'd give this one a shot. Works great for those looking to add a decent amount of bass at a great pricepoint, if you want to rattle the walls, this isn't the best for you but provides some tight bass.
Features, Price, Size
Great sub, especially so for the sales price. Works well with movies and music and has no problem filling my 14 x 15 family room. Very happy with the R-100SW
Good performance. Like the size as it can fit pretty much anywhere
Switches on back could be more substantial. They feel somewhat fragile. The lettering on back should be brighter as the subdued lettering is hard to read
Sounds great! Klipsch subwoofer is the perfect addition to my Paradigm sound bar, just make sure to have several feet of separation.
I got this to use as the sub for a 2.1 setup in my new house, and I am absolutely blown away. I paired it with two Polk OWM5 mains, and a Klipsch power gate amp. I have has several subs in my day, and this was the cheapest price, and by far the best sound I have ever had.
First thing's first, contrary to what I've seen said this sub-woofer is definitely NOT what I'd call "small" or "compact". It's a fairly big sized woofer that I was almost afraid would be too small until I got it.
First thing I noticed about this sub was its light weight. I was a little concerned that there would be cabinet resonance. When I connected it to my bedroom system, I set all the speakers to "small" and the crossovers to 80hz.
Good for a budget system. Experiment with placement for best result.
Light weight cabinetVERY efficient, be careful first time you play it.
Great sound, and having the capability to adjust the volume on the back of the unit.
Arrived and packed well. Easy to upload into our stereo system. Use it both for music (and is awesome at over 80dbls) and TV Sports. Only thing is with the difference in music and TV you do have to sometimes have to change the settings. Not Klipsch issue, but just be aware.
Bought this Subwoofer during Klipsch's 50% off sale and have to say that there isn't anything better sounding for the money. Drastically improved the sound of my home theater, now I just need to replace the rest of the speakers with Klipsch.
this subwoofer is amazing, and makes my room shake when i use it. and for the price and for a house subwoofer its great. ive had it for about three months now
