I really like this new cooktop. It heats up quickly. The surface is easy to clean. Installation was a breeze. Induction is the way to go. Just be sure to use the correct pots and pans
It does everything they claim it will do and does it all well. I boiled a pan of water in less then a minute. The surface cools off enough to touch with hand in only minutes after using them.
This cooktop boils the water faster than I can measure out the oatmeal in the morning. Way better control than electric or even gas. The front of this unit has to be vented. Be sure to check out the manuals! By far my favorite appliance in a well-equipped kitchen
Great alternative to gas! We used on island and can maintain a flat surface for entertaining very clean look. Controls heat just like gas.
Being new to induction cooking, I cannot compare this unit to others. However, in a couple of reviews, this unit was rated highest. That was the reason I purchased it. I have been using it for about 3 weeks, and so far it performs its purpose admirably.
I bought the Kitchenaid Induction cook top thinking it was going to be amazing, and with a normal round pan that fits in the space of the burners, it is. Unfortunately for me, I specifically bought a model with the "Bridge Mode" for the burners, and quickly found out that Kitchenaid doesn't feel...
KitchenAid has made serious design mistakes withthis product. One of the key features, the Turbo setting for rapid boiling of water, consistently blows out the electronics for the right side of the unit.
DO NOT BUY!!!horrible. I had it a month and the mortherboard fried they did replace it but the second one did the same thing
The product stopped working after two days. There was a 'pop' sound and it went dead. A call to Kitchenaid, we were told to that there was no availability and had wait for a week for a technician to come over, giving us a window of 8:00am to 5:00pm.
We researched induction cooktops for several months. The KitchenAid KICU509XBL kept rising to the top of our list as we eliminated all the other 30" induction choices one by one. Finally, we knew this was the cooktop we wanted.
