[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the microwave, not because I needed one, but because I wanted all my appliances to match. I have had more compliments on it. How nice it looks, how the inside is so large and roomy, the quietness, and of course, the features.
This is replacement for the KitchenAid bought several years ago. So far it too is outstanding. The reason for replacement was the inside of the old one was peeling off. I am anxious to see if this newer model will eliminate that problem. Installation by ABT was as expected.......excellent.
Microwave works great. We realized how dependent we are with this. The mechanism to open the door seems hard to push open but okay. The alert beeps after cooking has ended is loud & does not stop even when you open the door is awfully loud. Inside turntable works well for heat distribution.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the same microwave for 5 years and the start button was not working. I bought this one as a replacement. It is an expensive microwave but it looks sleek and gets the job done perfectly. I believe its life is about 4 to 5 years.
I had to replace my Countertop Microwave that was only 4 years old. I would have purchased another brand but because all of my applicances were Kitchenaid I was stuck. For the price that I paid, I feel I should have gotten something with more quality and that would last longer.
I love KitchenAid products. The design of the microwave is sleek and it is truly a beautiful microwave. My family uses the microwave every day, from simple warm-ups to baking potatoes and warming frozen vegetables. The capacity is perfect for large plates and casserole dishes.

We got this microwave to replace one that failed after 10 years. Unfortunately, the old size and model was discontinued and this does not have the great appearance and solid feeling our last one did. We give it 4 stars because it fits and it cooks quickly.
This microwave replaced an older KitchenAid model. The unit is built into a cabinet. Has good features, perfect size for reheating a dinner plate, and yes it fit the opening. Cons, way overpriced. I don't see much difference between this and the lower priced Whirlpool sister brand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, a decent microwave with plenty of power and settings to heat up anything I want. The one downside is the door is very hard to open. It's a push button operator and you need to push really hard to open it. I expected better.
Unthaw frozen vegetables, reheat soup, and pop popcorn with a touch of a button on the KitchenAid-KMCS1016GSS 1.6 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave. Additional preprogrammed cycles provide simple operation of this unit and expected results, with three sensors that extend or reduce the cook time of contents inside; including precise timed defrosting. Simplicity continues in the LED display that shows the function of what's being programmed, while the sunken turntable ensures that there's enough room for large dishes. Spacious, efficient, and aesthetically appealing, it's the KitchenAid-KMCS1016GSS.
