Great Commercial-Style Gas Rangetop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this as part of a Kitchen Aid kitchen for new construction. Extremely high quality grates and nice burners with a wide array of adjustments. The igniters are ok and we'll have to see how they stand up with time. Knobs and other external components are nice and function smoothly. A dream to cook on for those who are used to high grade commercial setups. It's not quite "commercial" with respect to the flames and burners but it is still pretty nice and at a reasonable price point. A minor drawback are that the knobs can be bumped slightly into the "on" position resulting in gas but no spark.

Haven't Used Yet--Concerned
We haven't even closed on our newly built home, and when I came in to check on the house while the cleaning folks were in, one of the burners we're on. I agree with the other reviews on this website that the knobs are WAY too easy to turn on the gas. A simple brush against the knob and the fires comes on. This is very concerning...I will add a review later after we use it for a while. My recommendation is that Kitchenaid issue a service bulletin to correct this issue so that the knobs do not turn so easily (i.e. a push in and turn would be nice).

Awesome rangetop except for the ring grates
I actually really love this range top with the exception of the rings for the 20k BTU burners. It seems like a great idea to allow them to be removed for using a wok, etc. but after a little more than a year of owning this unit, the rings cracked and split from one of the quadrants of both rings. Now, I have owned this unit for almost 4 years and one of the quadrants of one of the rings have completely broken off. Based on reading other reviews, it seems like it is a design flaw that others are experiencing as well.
If that design could be rectified, this would get 5 stars from me.

Excellent rangetop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to get rid of my cooktop and go for the Kitchenaid rangetop. Of course it required cabinet and granite modifications but it was worth every penny. I did also look at the Wolf but in the end, wasn’t worth the extra money. First time I used this it was incredible. Night and day from the cooktop. It looks great online but even better in person. So glad I went with this

Great Range, BUT . . .
This is a great range! I absolutely love it as it performs well beyond my expectations . . . BUT, I have a 18 month old and she can easily turn the knobs to turn on the gas and/or fire. Also, if you bump the knobs, it's really easy to turn on a burner unintentionally. That is the ONLY flaw of this range!!! If there is a fix for the easy turning knobs, please let me know.

Fire hazard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There has been a fire twice in our home because of the cooktop. And cooktop has turned on several times even by someone going by it at the least contact. Several times I have come to the kitchen and the stove top is on without anyone intentionally turning it on. Similar instances have reported with kitchen aid by other customers.
Similar instances have been reported with similar appliance feature tin other companies. They have provided recalls and remedies. Kitchen aid should provide safety remedies on this model.
This is a safety hazard.

DO NOT BUY!
We just bought this cooktop 4 months ago. I WOULD NOT recommend this cooktop! It's the first gas cooktop I've ever used that WILL NOT BOIL WATER! It literally takes 15 minutes for it to start to boil an average sized kettle of water. I am SO dissapointed with this cooktop. We've had to have the front right burner replaced twice because it would not ignite. They assured us that it would work properly and still, sometimes it will ignite and other times it will not. I regret purchasing this cooktop with every fiber of my being! I've always been told that KitchenAid is a very popular and highly recommended product. I will never purchase a KitchenAid product ever again. It's also extremely hard to get customer service.

NO Burner Grate or Cap
I purchased this unit back in Oct 2019 and I still don't have a Burner Grate or Cap - meaning.... I built a new home and put this unit in it. So, I have a NEW House, NEW kitchen and a new 6-Burner commercial range top that I can't use - AND now - they are saying that maybe it will be in sometime in April. Couldn't be happier. Good luck to you if you purchase this. Hopefully you get the grate and burner caps -
