Set these up on a edit bay for stereo monitoring. For the money, they are pretty incredible- not sure if I would do any high level mixing on these but certainly for editing and dialogue they are great. I would definitely use the XLR inputs.
Awesome litttle monitors! Nice lows and crisp highs. Even sounds good against the wall on a shelf (I know that's taboo but necessity being the mother of invention). My daughter, the Soprano, is going to love these!
After doing a lot of research, I've come to terms at the truth behind these speakers, there is in my opinion not enough justice for these monitors. There is no true way of letting you know how good they sound, but I'll tell you they are worth so much more, and they price these around $150 a pop is...
Much better than I had expected, good frequencies from both the lows and the highs. Built sturdy and will last. Very compact good to move around and carry if needed.
I know that yellow is the brand color, but if it could've come in more variations I would've been happy to choose a white case-red speaker, or white case - blue speaker, however the black and yellow will do just fine.
it's a great speaker
one of the best studio monitor
I'm a filmmaker and edit my own work and got these for improved dialogue and music mixing. My very old AltecLansing speakers were getting muddy and I was missing details as they were coloring the sound too much. These are much clearer, although they were also quite a bit larger than I was expecting.
I had a recording studio in Nashville for many years so I have pretty good ears. These monitors do not color the sound in any way. Just a nice neutral flat output with a tight bottom end. No boomy bass, no trebly high ends. That's just what you need to mix.
Love my KRK's! All pros no cons. In white with yellow accents looks superb.
I purchased a pair of these recently to swap out my vastly inferior M-Audio monitors. What can I say but that I was blown away when I hooked these up. They sound really great. The low end is so rich and the highs are super clear.
I am using the 402VLZ4 for post-production purposes and it performs wonderfully. I am actually using every one of the inputs and it's really simple and easy to use and sounds great. It small size is really great as it doesn't take up much real estate on your desk. Would recommend.
