The Gorillapod really is a handy tool to have in your photographic bag. In some cases, it won’t actually replace a full size tripod, but as a handy, light and portable alternative, it really does the job. It’s not only for night photos either.
-Small, light, and portable, -Integrated ballhead, -Wraps and grips around a whole range of objects, -Easily creates a stable, level platform both horizontally and vertically.
-Pan without tilt a little bit awkward., -Unknown how the joints and rubber will perform long term
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been using the Gorillapod Original to take macro pictures used on my food blog. Since my compact digital camera doesn’t have image stabilization, the Gorillapod has been fantastic at steadying the picture. It’s also great for taking group shots during a hike.
The Gorillapod is an ingenious and highly effective lightweight alternative to a full-size tripod. All the models are exceptionally well made, highly portable and offer an exceptionally versatile means of supporting a camera in a wide variety of situations.
I use these tripods all the time for "special" shots where a normal tripod wont work. It works well in tight places and for low shots, but it is useless when it breaks. The plastic cups that hold each segment are cracking (becoming brittle) and when they crack they become very loose and the tripod...
I got this to take on a short hiking trip in Texas. My last trip I tried using nature to hold the camera but it was really challenging. I got this product because I was also going to propose to my girlfriend and I wanted to make sure I took a lot of good pictures.
My son is ordering one after I showed him mine. I think that I should have purchased the one with the longer legs. I am very happy with this produce. I attached a small camera to the GorillaPod and then attach the GorillaPod to my bow.
A fantastic tripod for those photographers that would like to get rid of the common photography problems such as motion blur or lack of focus.
An easily transportable and affordable tripod.
Unfortunately it only reaches heights of about 6 inches.
Spend real money get a real tripod. You will see it is made cheap, I kept it because I am sure it will cost me to return and restock it.. Hate the small print.
Tiny, featherweight, infinitely adaptable, this little gorillapod will allow you to use any imaginable object or surface as a mount for your point-and-shoot. I have used it on car roofs, fence rails, tree limbs, handlebars and rafters.
-- inexpensive, -- light, -- adaptable, -- has a tiny, quick-release mounting plate that can be locked to tripod, -- can be used as a toy in situations of emergency boredom
-- wouldn't put anything other than a little point-and-shoot camera on it
Excellent feet with the gorillapod
Great size and weight
Nice and light. Its also versatile so i can position it to my liking.
