The sleek offset poplar body. Poplar is a softer wood that offers a meaty, resonant tone with a distinguished upper midrange tone quite similar to alder. It features bolt-on Maple neck that provides a rock-solid foundation, while the 12-16-inch compound radius bound Amaranth fingerboard allows for easy chording and fret-out free soloing. 22 jumbo frets and Jackson’s meticulously carved neck heel instead of a neck plate to provide unfettered access to the highest registers.

Oozing with attitude, the Surfcaster comes loaded with high-output Jackson humbuckers, ready to pump out the thick, saturated distortion tones that built the Jackson legacy. Simplicity reigns with a single volume and tone control on this six-string model.

The six-saddle hardtail bridge provides rock-solid tuning stability along with pinpoint intonation accuracy. The improved vibration transfer from a hardtail bridge also provides increased sustain and richer tone.
