I'm really pleased with JVC's innovation to add a score bar graphic within the camera. We do sports shoots for the community cable TV channel. I've used this setup on two high school football games so far this fall.
After so many hours of testing the camera and tweaking its settings I can't get the camera to give me a clear image. The image is extremely dark, the screen on the camera is really bad quality and does not represent what the camera sees, even plugging the camera to a monitor by HDMI doesn't give...
I am coming from a JVC GY-HM 700. I choose this camera for the streaming feature. After a small learning curve this camera really works well. If you plan on using the graphics provided by the camera make sure you get the wireless adapter for the USB port.
I use this camera for live streaming high school sports. This camera is just short of terrible. The 1080p recordings don't look good for a $2.5k camera and thats not it... If you're buying this camera to live stream... don't.
Although I haven't fully implemented all of the features of this camera, so far I am very pleased with the quality. It does take a degree of technical background to fully understand the manual with all of the settings.
Extremely poor quality image, poor low light performance, unfriendly menus and the WORST LCD + VF I've ever seen on a camcorder.
The clarity of the picture is unbelievable! Fairly easy to use for a non-camera person.
Pros: I like the fact that I can live stream to the internet wirelessly (or hard wire if you so choose) while simultaneously recording full HD to the memory cards. The camera provides phantom power to it's two XLR ports.
light yet stable
I recommend this camera if you are live streaming sports events and have limited manpower. Its easy to use, set up is fast and easy. One negative and the reason I only gave this camera a 4 star is that when you change your network you are hooking to you have to re-enter the password.
