The JBL Xtreme lives up to its name—it's easily one of the most powerful portable Bluetooth speakers we've tested.

Exceptionally powerful audio with big bass and bright highs. Built-in speakerphone. Splash-proof. Can pair with three devices at once.
-
-
Plenty of digital signal processing—especially at top volumes.

Overall the JBL Xtreme is great. If you can overlook the stutter at the beginning and have a thing for loud tunes, this might be the one for you. If you get one for yourself chances are it’s main uses are going to be blasting music while having a party or cleaning your room.

Good sound, great bass, Splashproof fabric, Shoulder strap makes it very portable

Stutter at the beginning of songs, Highs can be a bit harsh

We’ve always had a healthy respect for JBL’s professional audio products. It has consistently built rugged, high-performance PA speakers and monitors for over 60 years and remains a favored brand of many a musician and sound engineer to this day.

While it's on the expensive side, JBL's OnBeat Xtreme is one of the best-sounding iPhone/iPad docks we've heard--and it has built-in Bluetooth and speakerphone capabilities.

The, offers excellent performance for an iPhone/iPad speaker dock, with detailed sound and good, tight bass that can fill a fairly large room. It also has built-in Bluetooth for wireless streaming, speakerphone capabilities, a video output, an RF remote (with 30-foot range), and a pass-through USB...

At $500, it costs as much as an iPad. The eye-catching design may not appeal to some people.

Here's a product that had three strikes with me before I ever heard it. First there's the name, which seems more appropriate for a Frito-Lay product. Then there's the lineage: JBL's smaller, less-expensive docks never impressed me. Last, Maroon 5 appears in the ads.

Well, the pros and cons list can be endless, as one can find just about any excuse not to buy this device! But all in all, I feel this is a good buy, since no matter how many cons you come up with, you will always find one extra pro.
Very nice Speaker. Excellent full detailed sound. i bought this speaker for it"s portability. i put it in the Saddle bag of my Motorcycle. (Honda F6B) and pull it out once i get to my Chill spot. Speaker sounds very good, but has to be about 2/3 or more in volume. you wont be disappointed.

great full sound

pricey
I bought two of these to see how well they would work as PA system for large group gatherings. I plugged in a wireless mic to the back of a speaker and it sounded great. There was no feedback and it was loud enough so a presenter wouldn't have to yell at a gather.
