A nice upgrade over its predecessor, the Flip 4 is one of the best speakers in its size and price class.
-
+
The JBL Flip 4 offers significant improvements over the Flip 3, including better sound and battery life, as well as full waterproofing. It has speakerphone capabilities and a more durable fabric covering.
-
-
Its bass is improved but it still lacks some real bass punch.
The JBL Flip 4 speaker delivers strong Bluetooth audio from its modest, waterproof frame.
-
+
Solid audio performance with rich bass and well-defined highs. Can be submerged in shallow water.
-
-
No track navigation buttons. Audio cable not included.
If you're looking for a speaker that's less than $100 to bring to the beach or pool, the Flip 4 is a great option.

Good sound, Waterproof

JBL Connect+ not backwards compatible, Battery life on max volume only 4 hours
I’ve had the chance to review a couple of JBL headsets recently and really liked them so when they offered to let me trial the new JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker I was eager to see how it would perform. We’ve reviewed quite a few Bluetooth speakers here at Pocketables.
A waterproof wireless speaker with good features and decent sound

Intuitive design, Good volume, Waterproof

Could be more detailed, Not as dynamic as we’d like
The JBL Flip 4 isn’t the most refined speaker, but it is punchy and super-versatile

Powerful bass, Rugged, Water-resistant

Sound lacks refinement
I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend, we take it to the beach every weekend, use it on picnics, and for nights hanging out with friends, and on the boat, the speaker packs a punch and is able to fill a room with incredible sound, perfect for an active lifestyle!
Great bluetooth speaker for size and price. I chose the Flip 4 over the Charge 3 based on portablity and sound quality. The Charge 3 emphasizes more bass, but the Flip has a more balanced sound of bass, mid and high frequencies. The Flip 4 sound is so big it rivals other larger models.

Ultra portable, Great Sound Quality, Waterproof, Tough/Durable Construction, It's JBL.

It would have been nice if an AC adapter came with the included USB cord.
I researched for about a week what portable speaker to purchase for my daughter. I debated between this and the JBL Charge, but ultimately decided on this because it was cheaper, smaller and had slightly better reviews for the sound. So far it's been awesome.
this is a great speaker but can you take it in the shower
Very good on it's on but I'm disappointed that it doesn't connect to my flip 3. Do not buy unless your upgrading your other JBL speakers.
I bought this speaker for the beach and its great! It was easy to connect to my phone and it works even with in the beach sand and wet blankets! Highly recommend it!
Very satisfied. Great bass in a small affordable package!
I'm completely satisfied with flip 4. The color and design are very nice, and the sound is perfect.
I have owned the Flip 3 for over a year and loved its sound for the size, portability and price. I was excited to see professional, technical reviews stating that it was worth the upgrade to the Flip 4. I got it and I agree...it sounds even better than the 3 and still under $100.
