If it's a tiny wireless speaker you're after, the JBL Clip 2 is an appealing choice with some small but significant improvements over its predecessors.

The JBL Clip 2 Bluetooth speaker is a hockey-puck-size speaker with a built-in lithium ion rechargeable battery that offers decent sound for its size, improved battery life (eight hours), and is fully waterproof.
-
-
It doesn't handle big bass well and distorts at higher volumes; should cost a little less.
The JBL Clip 2 is a budget-friendly Bluetooth speaker that delivers solid audio performance in a supremely portable, outdoor-friendly design.

Powerful audio performance for the size. Waterproof. Speakerphone functionality. Built-in audio cable for wired listening.

Track navigation button can't skip backward. Not for those seeking big bass response.
In the end, JBL Clip 2 is a worthy successor. With the improved design and waterproofing alone, it’s already more attractive than the first gen. Although, the bass, like before, is still wanting due to the small driver and lack of dedicated woofer. For its size, we can’t expect so much.

Pocketable, Improved design and materials, Waterproofed (IPX7), Loud volume

Average bass
Budget options don't have to be terrible, and the Clip 2 is a great example of that. Though the small size means that it has a somewhat average sound quality, it's still more than good enough for taking it with you on your next adventure.

IPX7 Waterproof, Super portable, Built-in controls

Lacking in the low end
If you’re looking for an ultraportable Bluetooth speaker that costs less than $100, the Clip 2 is the best option. It’s waterproof, has good battery life and sounds great. Other ultraportables usually falter when it comes to sound quality, but the Clip 2 delivers nearly as much fidelity as the $100...

Not very loud, No app
“You can also wirelessly connect two Clip 2 speakers together to enjoy amplified sound. Use the speakerphone to make clear, noise and echo free phone calls. The JBL Clip 2 is covered with durable waterproof fabric, and earns its name with its upgraded carabiner, clipping to your clothes or backpack...

Nothing...even the price point is spot on!
JBL's Clip has long been a favorite of ours, offering good sound in a small, portable package — both 2014's original Clip and last year's Clip+ earned our high recommendations. While the Clip+ added splashproof capabilities, the new Clip 2 is fully IPX7 waterproof.…
Article Contents 1 What's in the box 2 Notable features 3 Design and build quality 4 Sound 5 Conclusion Last week I reviewed the largest portable Bluetooth speaker I've ever seen. This week, the speaker we're looking at slots in at the opposite end of the spectrum.
Minor niggles aside, the Clip 2 sounds great, and is easy to carry around and use just about anywhere. The fact that it’s waterproof and can pair with a second speaker sweetens the deal, and this makes for a great gift – even for someone who already owns a set of speakers.
i with good waterproof and long time battery playing time, it will be very great, like another model i sourcing from EIPSON bluetooth speaker, wish a great success.

it is outdoor light to carry

i liked it
Had the clip+. Loved it but battery didn't last long. Recently purchased the clip2 and love it even more! Battery lasts all day and the sound impresses everyone around me to the point that they go run and get one the next day.
Still better than just the speaker on a cell phone. The short cord and shorter than hoped battery life are my only real complaint. I'm not used to having to treat it like a cell phone that needs to be recharged between uses.

Decent sound in smaller spaces. Cost is reasonable.

7-8 hrs battery life. Bass sound gets drowned out in louder areas more open areas. Charging cord is too short.
Great sound, right size. On the positive side, also, easy to use, with bluetooth or with the included cable.
JBL's Clip 2 is a cute little speaker that's pretty loud for it's size and have decent sound. It's lightweight, very easy to carry around. Of course the bass response is not great, I have notice if you position it at the right angle and play the right tune you will get satisfactory bass response for...
I tested many others of similar size and none are as loud or full. Though the lowes are not as full as bigger speaker, this still produces at least twice that of any other compatible speaker I found.
This water proof speaker is super loud and clear and it works great in the shower allowing you to rock out and answer calls all soaped up. Also stays connected quite a distance from the phone.
I bought this for my 11 year old who loves to listen to music in the bathroom. He uses it every day in the shower. The speaker is clear and loud for its size. He is happy with it.
Works great for the kids in the shower.
