I bought to produce my songs and I know I have a pair of the best monitors I could buy in its price range and even more expensive ones would not be as suitable for my needs (EDM/Urban).
Monitors should be neutral, of course, but good ones, these included, allow a good degree of control over just how neutral they are. Overall, I find these a bit bright, but in sum fairly balanced.
Excellent price, good range of options in matching tone to particular studio acoustics, good stereo imaging, quiet, and they can get loud.
A bit bright, but I think a little more tweaking will yield exactly what I'm looking for.
When I turned on the system in my studio, I played a reggae track and the fullness of these MK 8's was incredible. I've only had them a couple of months but hip-hop/rap, R&B, pop, it doesn't matter They bang. Great purchase! Wish I got them sooner!!
Good Sound, quality, comfort & Bass. The best speaker ever I have.
high freq gives off constant hiss when volume is up. Annoying when mixing. Low freq were great. Not muddy at all as I had heard. Great for the price, but I the Kali Audio monitors I paid less for sound much better...sorry.. Check these out though if you're interested.
Excellent studio monitors. They are larger than expected, so I would advise using them in a mid to large studio vs in a desktop application (unless your desk is very large). Soundstage and audio accuracy are excellent. They come with power cords, but no other cords so plan accordingly. Recommended.
I'm sure there are better monitors out there, but for way for money. For me, these are my second pair of monitors, and I'm blown away at the sound quality. I have them together with the 10" sub and OMG, better than I anticipated. If you're on the fence about buying these, you better buy these..
These are powerful, and compact! I have older JBL monitors from many years ago, which were like a piece of furniture. The were probably from the 80's, and still work! A great product! My wife did not like them any more, so I got these, which are smaller, powerful, and more modern.
If you are looking for a good set of speakers jbl 308 I upgraded from jbl 306 the 308 have a beautiful flat response to them when mixing add the jbl sub to this or any of the jbl line you will not be disappointed
These monitors are great, I was undecided between these and the 5in at first but I’m glad I chose the 8in ..Good clear sounding bass... Next I plan to still add the 5in and a subwoofer ,then I think my home setup will be complete but who knows..
