First look at the ball head leaves me a good impression. I do have an Induro tripod, but somehow the set screw at the bottom of this ball head can't be used when I mounted the ball head to the tripod.
Unless you are having a 400 f/2.8, a 500 f/4 lens or bigger, this will work very nicely with your camera gear. I have used this with a Canon 70-200 II on a 2x extender as well as a Canon 100-400 L lens mounted on a gripped 7D with no issues at all.
I bought this because I wanted a head that could support the camera and a 300m lens and I have not been disappointed. Operation is smooth and it certainly is sturdy.
For the money it is a very good ball head. Not high quality. But price to quality is fine. I'm recommended for professional photographer only.
It's OK. Should have spent more to get a better solution. The Lock and drag knobs are both the same and there is little difference. The locking plate does not have the safe features I would want to protect my equipment.
Love this head. Very sturdy and secure
Holds the heaviest of equipment, nice
I purchased this product after seeing it in an online review. The BHD3 is a quality product that exceeds expectations. Combined with the GHBA Gimbal head, it provides a stable platform that allows you to take your photography to the next level. I would highly recommend it.
I bought this with a CT314 tripod and it is a perfect fit. This ballhead is very smooth, and the controls work as they should. The quality is solid!
The online store showed this ballhead to match with the CT314 CARBON 8X CT SER. 4-SEC TRIPOD that I purchased so I ordered it along with the tripod. Upon further review, I see that the ballhead supports more weight than the tripod so I possibly could have ordered a smaller version.
