I have been looking for a light ballhead for my travel tripod, Induro GT 214. Have tried models from Manfrotto and Oben but BHD0 fits my needs best. It's base size matches the tripod center column plate perfectly. The controls are compact taking little space in my carry-on.
I bought this head to go with an Induro tripod. They are a good match. I'm still getting used to the adjustments, but I was pretty satisfied using it a small fair to get shots of the rides and the people. It is a solid head and I've enjoyed using it so far.
Use it on my trip in Swiss. It's great as in light and small that I barely noticed it while it's on my tripod. However the small size is also its downfall. I find that working with the tension and locking wheels are one and the same. Very fine adjustments are not there.
Got rid of a BHL3 as it was way too big for Sony a6000. This BHD0 is the perfect fit for the camera and carbon fiber tripod. The quick release is quick enough but solid and the ballhead itself is well made and steady. Couldn't be happier - unless it was given to me...
If you don't use very heavy lenses it does the job perfectly. I use it with Induro Alloy 8M AT113 Tripod and the camera has no shake even with 30 min long exposure
It's a nice, lightweight ball head that works well for hiking. I added it to my CT-3442 Feisol tripod. I received one that looked used. The packaging wasn't in good shape and the ball head has some scratches on it.
I have a short column on my Induro tripod and don't like having to switch my ball head from long column to short and back again. I was in New York for a few days and wondered into my favorite store. You guessed it...BH.
I paired this with the Induro 8M AT214 tripod. I am very happy with the solid construction. I love the flexibility of the ball movement. You can easily switch the camera from portrait and landscape. It does take awhile to get used to.
I use the BHDO with the Induro AT114 tripod for my lightweight setup for backpacking and hiking photo shoots. The BHDO is plenty strong for a 6-8lb camera and lens with easy and accurate adjustments.
I like that there are no handles sticking out to catch on things. Great leveling device and the large knobs get you set up quickly. Love it!
