Was searching for something with minimal color cast that could be used on different types of lenses including telephoto. For my photography needs, a square filter system was impractical. The Hoya really fit the bill for almost a year, but after that the filter started to degrade and became blotchy.
This is a sensible replacement for the Lee Big stopper

This 10 stop ND filter is perfect for getting long exposures during the day perfect for video too so you don't have to be at f/22 or jack up your shutter speed to 1/1000 when you're outside. Hoya made a great quality filter that I will continue to use and I will continue to purchase their products.
This filter has no color shift and is significantly sharper than the Tiffen Variable ND I own. The Tiffen softens the image unlike the Hoya ProND 1000. There is no shift in the color it is truly a Neutral density filter.
I have both the 4 stop and the 10 stop ProND filters. I have not used them extensively, but find their quality very good and have no evidence of the color shifts that I've seen with some other ND filters. If you're looking for circular ND filters, these are a great choice.
Great filter. Used for timelapse images in conjunction with my Edelkrone slider. Helps to make silky smooth motion of the time lapse images. I originally tried doing this with a variable ND filter but couldn't get it dark enough to have slow shutter in broad daylight.
Used for a few weeks. Works very good.
I use this filter to shot water falls and rapids...And it's great... I also ordered the 58mm
This filter works very well. The light reduction is about 9.6 stops, which is very close to the advertised 10 stops. It has a slight green cast, but the cast seems to be pretty uniform across the frame, so it's easily corrected in software.
I was very happy with the results when I used this in Bryce Canyon NP photographing the Mossy Cave Trail Cascade in the mid day sun, it worked perfectly, allowing me to use a long exposure to blur the water.
