This is, unfortunately, a disappointing replacement to my previous HP Officejet 8600 series printer. The sales rep assured me it would be comparable. It runs out of ink very quickly (cartridges are super small), it squeaks regularly, and it takes forever to do basic automatic processes like recharge...
This printer has a lot of functionality for the money but set up to connect with your network wirelessly is difficult. You have to use their app which didn't work. I had to connect the printer using an ethernet cable connecting the printer directly to my router. I'm not impressed with their app.
At first I had purchased an ecotank but I could not get a decent red even after following Epson’s recommendations and adjusting the color with my compute. I consulted my Facebook crafting family on printers and of course did some more reviews. Numerous crafter friendsrecommended the hp8025e printer.
I love that it does double sided printing, but it’s only if your printing from your computer/ laptop or phone. As for front to back copies… not so much. The page comes out before you can flip it over… and the door to get to the ink opens way to easily. So if your going to touch it the door drops.
Very nice printing. We get faxes for RX renewals. We print flow sheets and data sheets for patient. Recommended you get 916xl for printing. Smaller ones do not last very long. Also the paper tray is smaller than I would like.
- I would strongly recommend
- fast- duplex printing- easy to install
I carefully compared all HPs as well as other printers. Besides all the other considerations about printer's features I also wanted a printer with a USB port to scan directly to a usb stick. I purchased 8025e because its specs shows that you can scan to usb/pc.
Does all I expect in an HP printer, but the paper tray assembly seems rather fragile. I'm afraid of breaking something each time I open or close it, as it requires a very gentle touch. Also the paper feed sometimes spits out two or three blank pages in addition to the one page I'm trying to print.
I needed a printer that would enable me to print from my iPhone. My home/office laser printer did not have that capability but did just fine form my existing printing needs. The new printer was very easy to setup and connected quickly to my Wi-Fi. I was printing direct from my iPhone in minutes.
Although the set up was a bit of a hassle with the downloading of apps, registering software, and updating the printer, it's a great printer and would highly recommend.
