The flash definitely has the power needed to excel but the build quality is so poor especially the shoe mount .I've had about 4 of this already and the shoe mount hasn't lasted more than a mount while shooting weddings . I wish the shoe mount were metal like the ones for canon and Nikon .
Been looking for fill flash for sony and tried nissin which is smaller but it didn't compensate for close up distances. With Godox, not only does it compensate and respond to dialed in exposure, (like -1 etc), but works well with auto exposure similar to nikon system flashes.
Just charge the battery as 2 times and now I try to get it out of the flash it is too complicated, it gets stuck, I noticed that the battery inflated a bit, now it is a risk to put it back in the flash, I will have to buy another battery, if it continues the problem will buy a flash from another...
Not sure why it took me so long to consider these flashes, but I'm sure glad I did! These v860II units are so quick to recycle, no more AA's (yay), and seamless with either X1T or XPRO radio triggers (unit has integrated radio receiver).
This flash is almost as big as my Pana G9 with a Leica 12-60 lens. However, the flexibility that this model has in delivering flash power is outstanding. Once you are used to the controls, they are easy to use even in event photography where a subject may only give you 3 times to get it right.
Worked flawlessly and intuitively. Very happy with the purchase. I find it be a bit heavy and the flash head to be a bit stiff, however.
Over heats its a 10 sec wait time for flash to work again . Now I was told I have to buy another one. I want to talk to someone about this problem
After trying to use a Fuji flash (which had to be used in manual mode) and being very dissatisfied, I ordered the Godex. Its great! The TTL mode works like a charm with the photos perfectly exposed.
Well built and works great
All I can say after one week with my Godox V860iiO flash units is they are fantastic! I found reading the manual after watching YouTube videos on the operation of the flash more beneficial for understanding the layout of the manual. Im very happy with my purchase. An unbelievable value!
