Finally a monopod that works for me. Legs are small , practical for transport and use ! Light , fast , solid , all I need for my birdphotography gear. I use a 500 & 600 mounted on a 1Dx . Heavy stuff , no problem for this monopod.
I bought the GM4562 monopod to use as an arm for the Ikan Ec1 beholder video stabilizer. The build is so solid, I have full confidence using the monopod fully extended with the gimbal hanging off the end. Even over the ocean. Because I travel a lot, the size and weight are also very convenient.
I use all Gitzo stuff and find them top tier. This one is a great size and weight. Love new foot. Very solid holding 400mm with d850 until the last section (bottom) is extended more than 1/2 way. A little less than perfect. I use it when size and weight are most important.
Worth every penny. I tried several solutions trying to avoid overspending but each one I used had a compromise point until I used this one. It is small enough to have with me all the time and its build is rock steady both in the extended pole and the connection to the ground.
This is a wonderful monopod perfect for supporting super telephoto lenses with ease. Folds up small and compact and is the perfect height for someone 6 ft. tall and under. I'm 5'10 and don't need the full extension of the monopod when it's supporting a Canon 300mm 2.8.
Fantastic little monopod!!

Compact, Easy to Use, Lightweight
I love Gitzo tripods and have two. I bought this monopod where I need greater flexibility than a tripod allows. The replaceable foot is best for hard surfaces / indoors, whilst a spike available as an optional extra is better for outdoor use.

Compact, Durable
I have used a variety of monopods and this is the best, including other Gitzo. I use it targeting wildlife on walkabout in the field, including in-camera Focus Stacking (Olympus) which relies greatly on steadiness to succeed.

Durable, Lightweight, Simple Controls
Its strength and stability allow for the weight of a heavy lens combo to be taken down a couple of stops slower than hand held. Lock and height are also excellent as is ease of portability being so small when collapsed. Can't fault it.
Perfect combination of function and form.Lightweight, yet very stable. I couldnt be happier, the collapsed length is nice and short. Easily strapped to side of any bag. Very quick friction style, locks up solid with a slight twist.
