The Garmin Vivosport costs a little more than other sports band-style fitness trackers, but makes up for it in features and functionality.
-
+
Comfortable. Easy to operate. Great automated activity-tracking options. Customizable. Supports push notifications.
-
-
A little expensive for a sports band. No swim tracking.

The Garmin Vivosport, like its predecessor, offers a great fitness tracking experience. For those that yearn for those sports tracking extras on top, it still delivers on that front too, even if nothing groundbreaking has actually been added into the mix.
-
+
Crammed with features, Strong GPS performance, Rich fitness tracker features
-
-
Small touchscreen display, Good, but not exceptional HR monitor, Overly sensitive display

The Garmin Vivosport is a GPS-enabled activity tracker with features you typically find on higher-priced sports watches.
-
+
Comfortable, Embedded GPS, Swim-rated, Music controls
-
-
Sensitive screen, No interchangeable bands, Bland design

The vivosport is a good activity band for runners, but really doesn’t add that much over the vivosmart HR+.
-
+
Sleek, slim, comfortable design with color touchscreen display and wrist HRM, Built-in GPS, LiveTrack and VO2 Max, Activity and sleep tracking features + sport tracking, Fully waterproof

Expensive, Strength training feature still isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, Always looks like a sport band (i.e. no way to make it more office friendly), Heart rate monitor is really only accurate for running

On the surface, there’s very little difference between the Vivosmart 3 and the Vivosport, but the Vivosport is the better option because of GPS and the newer aesthetics. It might not be worth it to everyone to spend the extra amount to get those features, but the Vivosport is a great option for a...

The Garmin Vivosport doesn’t really do much wrong, but it’s not my favourite fitness tracker

GPS, Constant heart-rate monitoring, Comfortable
-
-
Small, fiddly screen, No swim tracking, No support for external sensors
![]() |
A great all-round GPS fitness tracker for those not fashion focused
-
+
Comfortable design, Accurate GPS and HRM, VO2 Max estimations, Good battery life
-
-
Rep counting is still tacked on, Washed out display, Slightly buggy automatic exercise tracking

The Garmin Vivosport doesn't have the style of a Fitbit or the high-tech vibe of a Samsung Gear. However, this is one of the smallest fitness trackers that has full GPS/HR tracking and an altimeter. It brings max tracking power with minimal bulk.
-
+
Small for a full GPS tracker, Good battery life, Fair heart rate accuracy
-
-
Bland design, No swim modes, GPS can be slow to lock on
Good for keeping track of activities and general health. Step counter is pretty accurate but heart rate and step count is definitely off by a decent margin. Great overall product.

Great battery life

Stair counter and heart rate monitor are inaccurate
I have had 4 fitbits and a fitbit scale. Scale quit working. Fitbits quitcounting steps correctly. My Garmin works GREAT.
I stepped up from the Vivosmart. This has GPS and can hold multiple workouts. A good step up without paying for the larger watches. It does the same thing for 1/2 the price.
I love the sleek design of the Vivosport and its accuracy on steady state heart rate monitoring. There is an issue with high intensity training (HIT), frequent and rapid fluctuations in heart rate. The Vivosport is completely INACCURATE and unreliable with HIT.
I got this to go along with the other Garmin equipment that I have on my bike, since everything connects to the Garmin Connect app. It works flawlessly, and has really given me insight into my sleep patterns and overall heart health.

Great user interface, app, battery life & features.

None.
It's light and I can weir it during the day. But I don't think the battery can maintain for 7 days, only 50% battery left after 2 days, and only 30 min gps was used.
I like many things about the new Vivosport but I'd like it even more if it came with instructions. There are a number of features but I have no idea what they mean or how to use them. My first Garmin came with a little pamphlet with all the icons and basic instructions.
Good battery for size,Wish the band looked a little better.Slightly bigger screen would help.Button was useful, this one goes off by itself in sleep a lot.
Bought to replace older Garmin device...am very happy with new device.Pros: Great tracking, easy to use/read, wide array of options/settings, accurate heart rate readings (have compared with other methods simultaneously), can be used with swimming, battery life is great (varies with frequency of...
I've been looking for a Garmin watch for a couple of years now. Since I'm a women and have smaller wrists I didn't want anything to big. I couldn't decide for awhile so I decided to try a much small model then I was looking for. I had the Garmin Vivosport for about a month. It was a great tracker.
