The Vivofit 4 is all about hitting the basics, and does so competently. The year-long battery life is a big pull and Garmin's MoveIQ exercise tracking works well, even if the lack of GPS means accuracy could be better for runners.
-
+
Hits most of the basics well, Year-long battery life, Automatic exercise detection
-
-
Not much of a looker, Lacks GPS and HR sensors, Running accuracy not perfect

The vívofit 4 is a good activity tracker. It’s not necessarily better than its predecessor, though, and we wish it still paired with ANT+ HRMs.
-
+
Simple, durable, easy to use, Improved display, Affordable price point, 1-year battery life, Waterproof
-
-
Does not pair with ANT+ HRMs, Data tracking is not perfectly accurate, No wrist HRM, No smart notifications

With every new product, there are bound to be some unhappy customers. The main problem with the Vivofit 4 right now is its buggy technology. This is not an uncommon problem with new products and certainly not for Garmin.

The Garmin Vivofit 4 introduces a color screen to the range, improves the design and comfort as well as offering unbeaten battery life. This won't suit those looking for lots and lots of fitness tracking features, but for the basics the Vivofit 4 is a great for your wrist.
-
+
Incredible battery life, A color screen, Low price
-
-
No GPS or heart rate, Lacks phone notifications, Sometimes difficult interface

I love fitness trackers – I hate charging them every day. Garmin’s new Vivofit 4 has 2 x SR43 coin batteries that in theory will last over a year. Alas, testing cannot confirm that. Ray Shaw [email protected] has a passion for IT ever since building his first computer in 1980.
-
+
Basic fitness tracker with a one-year battery life
-
-
Dull screen

After having a fitbit Charge HR , I wanted a tracker that was water proof and I didn't have to charge.....for sure not as accurate as the HR chargeable models but for my purposes it's ok. If they had a HR model with a battery and waterproof....I would jump on it.

I like the Garmin tracker - it does a great job of tracker how much exercise by the miles that I walk during the day.I highly recommend it!

Wearing my Garmin vivofit 4 is a great motivator for me to get moving and helps me with living a healthy lifestyle

No need to charge as it has a battery that will last a year ( hopefully) Download the garmin app and sync for detailed breakdown of activities. The watch screen is dim and small.Only downside sometimes the watch doesn’t reset steps at midnight so you need to go onto app for a breakdown of the day.

Great little device to count your steps etc. Good app to use along side to record daily activities and sleepSecond of the Garmin. Only changed to upgrade and battery life is one year plus. No need to recharge weekly.

I got this for my wife when it was on sale for $59. For that money it is a pretty decent fitness tracker watch (now if I could only get her to wear it every day :) ... it readily pairs with her iPhone 5S using the Garmin Connect app.

Great well made fit watch for the price.

Screen is so small. It's also hard to see it needs a back light.

This is an excellent activity tracker. It uses a watch battery, so there’s no need to charge it every few days. It also displays my step count on the same screen as the time, which is very convenient, and the app is excellent too. I highly recommended the Vivofit 4.

I bought the Garmin Vivofit 4 for my wife to check her fitness, only to find that the app is incompatible with her Microsoft Lumia Android phone.

I bought this to encourage my husband to spend less time watching tv and so far it's been a huge success. He says it has made him more aware of his day to day activity and given him a clear goal to achieve.
