When it comes to multisport watches, the refreshed Fenix is about as capable as they come, with new features like built-in music and contactless payments along with fully routable color topo maps.

For serious athletes the Garmin Fenix 5 Plus will prove an invaluable fitness tracker. For everyone else, it’s overkill.

I don’t normally write reviews but I decided to write one for this. This is an awesome watch. I’m an outdoorsman and this watch features topographical maps and satellite imagery which is awesome for seeing plots of land, streams, rivers, elevation when out hunting, hiking, fishing etc..

I used to do lots of coding in 'reverse polish', it was like a quiet walk in the country compared to programming this watch. There is no manual included, so you have to go online and the online version is written by people who are a long way from Jane Austen in their eloquence and I suspect a long...

Is it overkill, most likely. Do I love it, absolutely. I love the topo maps feature which is what really sets it apart from other cheaper Garmin model options. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I use it to track runs, swims, kayaks, and hiking backpack trips mainly.

One of the major reasons that I got this was to use to listen to music while running outside. I gave up after an hour and a few different headphones. That would have knocked it down to 3 stars, but its better than expected on tracking distance on a treadmill, so I gave it four in the end.

This watch is just amazing. If you like sports, it's great, but if you don't, it's great too! The GPS I think is the feature I like the most and the possibility of loading maps not only owned by Garmin, makes it even better. Although, it's very expensive, I would definitely recommend it.

Great watch at a great price. Took a little work to get it set the way I wanted, but liking it so far!

This is a well made easy to use smartwatch. It pays to watch a couple of tutorial vids on YouTube.

11 October 2019

I had been using a Fitbit Ionic with GPS which I wanted to love (note - it is also a great product in many ways, but not what I need right now) but the distance and pace were significantly off with my Ionic no matter what I tried.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant

I use this watch on all of my everyday workouts and when I run!
