Intuitive and easy to use. Best GPS unit I have ever used. The large screen is a plus for older eyes too. Seamless operation with Basecamp software make for a perfect GPS operation.
The unit works well EXCEPT if you routinely use Routes. No matter how route markers show up on map programs, they show up on Garmin Handheld units (including the Montana) as Big Blue Flags. The blue flags block a lot of map detail, including Route point ID numbers.
helps in the planning and execution of hunting trips. perfect for finding the public hunting lands.
This was an amazing upgrade to the GPS my husband was using for his dirtbike rides, but to get the thing set up was absolute hell. Garmin support is basically non-existent, so if you're looking for assistance, plan to spend a lot of time googling.
The Garmin Montana 610 worked great on our motorcycle, 625x, for the Score 2016 Baja 1000. The devise is rugged and the screen is large enough to read while riding. The instructions aren't great so it took some time to load the course maps and get them all working together.
It is working well so far. I am very happy with the Montana. I had never had a gps before and so I wasn't quie aware how much more money I had to spent for getting the correct maps, and how much more time it would take to make it all work.
After a lot of searchibg- this was the one. After a lite playing with it it's easy to use. Large screen makes seeing where you are and manipulating the screen a breeze
Needed a new gps this one works great
It was hard to use and the battery didn't last very long
Bought this last year for hiking. Went to DL new routes on to devise. Updated the software for basecamp to use the devise, and the new software wont allow you to DL maps to the devise, rendering it useless. Garmin will not respond or fix the issue. DO NOT BUY
