Simply because this is a 48" the industry can charge quadruple the price and skimp on internet, display panel, see-through, and other features in regular categories. Technology-wise, this thing is decades old and comparable to the one we replaced.

Good appliance so far. Great ice maker, pretty good space efficiency and keeps consistent temperature. One beef - doesn’t have a lot of options on the in door water dispenser - ie - no preset fill options. Should have this given the price. We had on our old fridge which was 1/4 the price.

For how much we paid for this refrigerator we would have expected the ice maker to be better quality and performance. It takes so long for the glass to fill with cubed ice. Refrigerators that are 15 years old perform better than this one.

Just got our GE fridge today it took awhile for the fridge to arrive but when it did installation was a snap. The fridge looks beautiful and quiet. We haven't used to ice maker yet it takes 12 hours to make. The water dispenser is fine and the filter looks easy to change every 6 months.

I have had the older model dated 2005. This new design is much better, the fridge is larger and the inside back of the fridge is flush so the bottom shelves are not shorter in depth, works much better. The look is much better and the WiFI is a very cool feature . Very happy with this model.

This fridge replaced a 27 yr old built in and it fit perfectly. Handles are easy to grip, the glass shelves are totally adjustable to fit one's preferences and the overall look is stylish and matches well with the other GE profile appliances! It completed the kitchen update!

The interior of the fridge is nicely illuminated. But the interior space is disappointing. My GE Monogram was a lot more spacious. There is no butter compartment. The door obstructs opening the vegetable drawer - and it traps the drawer in the open position once you do manage to pull the drawer out.
