GE Profile PGP986SETSS 36 Inch Gas Cooktop

Not a good product for cooking. The grills are too high and takes forever to cook anything. It is designed only for the large pots. The smaller pots when used for cooking, the handles get too hot or gets burnt if wooden.

Looks and works well. Happy to be cooking on a flame again! Easy to clean the surface and the individual parts of the burners.

Replaced a 10-yr old cooktop and just love this one! GE needs to correct some installation instructions as one of their steps in converting from nat gas to LP is absolutely impossible.

The griddle is a good concept, but in practice it's huge & bulky and hard to clean. The cooktop itself works great.

This was a replacement for a 17 year old GE Profile cooktop. It fit perfectly into the existing countertop cutout. A design change that moved the gas supply from the left to the right side of the unit required the purchase of a flexible connector that bridged the gap.

Only one of the griddle burners work. Three GE technicians showed up to repair it. They couldn't. The final verdict was "this is how it's supposed to work" I told them then mania says no flame should be less that a quarter inch, yet the flame on the front burner goes out.

HORRIBLE! CAUSED MAJOR GAS LEAK!!The knobs turn too easily! Maid was cleaning knobs and accidentally turned one past the lighter. Therefore, no flame was on, but the gas was leaking. I smelled a rotten egg smell shortly after she left, but thought it was the trash.

Not good at all...burners keep stop littering often.

Works great. Love the griddle option.
